She was last the wife of Lt Thomas Stebbins; at the time of this marriage in 1676 she was known as "widow Mun." Another Abigail Mun (b. 1650 in Springfield) married Thomas Stebbins, Jr. about four years before this Abigail married Thomas Stebbins, Sr.!

She had been married to Benjamin Mun, an original proprietor of Hartford, CT, to whom several children besides the younger Abigail Mun were born in Springfield 1650-1661, the oldest of whom was the Abigail who married Thomas Stebbins, Jr.

Her marriage to Benjamin Mun took place in Springfield on 2 Apr 1649, the record referring to her as "widdow Ball" (sic.), and she was noted to have had sons Jonathan, 4, and Samuel, 1. Samuel Ball was one of the administrators of Lt Thomas Stebbins's estate.

Before Benjamin Mun, Abigail had been married to Francis Ball in Springfield in 1644.
