Abraham and Margaret are 2nd cousins. Both are great grandchildren of Philip and Catherine Morgart.

Abraham Morgart son of Phillip & Margaret was born April 20th A.D. 1823.

Am. Morgart & Margaret Morgart was married August 12th A.D. 1847.

Abraham Morgart, son of Philip & Margaret, departed this life June 20th A.D. 1865. Age 42 years, 2 months.

Remarks from Freddie: Abraham (1823)

Abraham was drafted and mustered in the Civil War on February 23, 1865, for one year at Chambersburg, Pennsylvania as a Private with Company "D" 79th Regiment of Pennsylvania Infantry. (Company "D" recuited in Washington County). The soldier contracted chronic diarrhea on the march between Richmond, Virginia and Washington D.C. by reason of exposured and heavy marching and that he was admitted to Carver General Hospital, Washington D.C., June 15, 1865 from Regimental Hospital for treatment where he died.

The National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia had no record of his burial as had recorded. Believed his widow had his body removed to old Morgart graveyard.
