    Notes:

Probably at least four of the children (Margaret, Hannah, Samuel, and Daniel--the last four listed here) were actually born to Christen Hunter, however most birth dates are not certain, nor are the relevant marriage dates; it is not possible from Adam Gann's will to determine with certainty which children belong with which spouse. It it true that in many similar cases, the father would will a token to children of the first marriage as a sign of love and because these children would have been older and already established in adult life, while children of the second marriage would be younger (perhaps minors) and thus need more resources from the estate; thus, wills in this type of situation would usually be structured as this one is, offering at least circumstantial evidence of which children belong with each wife.
