He was deposed twice, in 1678 and 1679, in Essex Co., Massachusetts courts, stating his age as 44 years in 1679, and as 42 years in 1678; he was probably therefore--if both testimonies were accurate--born in the latter half of 1635 or the first half of 1636 (source does not give dates of the depositions)

On this date administrators are appointed to his estate

Difficult to be certain of the order and number of the children; Massachusetts vital records don't mention several of them. In addition, three of the boys were christened on the same day without corresponding birth records.
