The year one thousand seven hundred four-score and one [1781], the twenty-second of February at eleven
o'clock of the evening was born and was baptized the next day Michel Untereiner,
son legitimately of Pierre Untereiner, laborer and resident of Veckersviller,
and of Anne Marie Schirman, his spouse. The godfather was Michel Gerring[er,]
minor son of Gregoire Gerringer, master mason, of Veckersviller and of Elizabet[h]
Wallherr. And the godmother was Margaret Untereiner, minor daughter of
Jacob Untereiner, laborer and resident of Veckersviller and of Catherin[e]
Schirman. The father and godmother were present, I declare they cannot
write and so they marked"
