The year one thousand seven hundred sixty and ten [1770], the twen[ty-]
fourth of March about the third hour of the evening has
died at Veckersviller, fortified by the Sacramen[ts]
of the church, Laurent Untereiner, [?]
laborer and resident of this place, spouse during
his life of Christine Pfeiffer. His body was
interred the following day in the cemetery of this pla[ce]
with the appropriate ceremonies by me, head
priest of this place, who signed below in the presence of
Jaques Untereiner, blacksmith and resid[ent]
of this place, and of Mathias Lehmann, labore[r]
and resident of this place, who both signed the docume[nt]
in my presence"
