L'an mille sept cent soixante et onze le dixsept
de Janvier à sept heur du matin est decedé
à Weckersviller munie des sacrements du
l'eglise Michel Teutsch maneuvre du dit
lieu et epoux de Christine Untereiner sage
femme die dit lieu. le quel à èté enterré le
landemain au cemetier du dit lieu avec les
ceremonies accoutr...més par nous pretre
curé du dit lieu sousoigné en presence
de Martin Vallet courdonnier et greffier
local du dit lieu et de Marc Vallet
maneuvre et hábitant du dit lieu..."

The year one thousand seven hundred sixty and eleven [1771], the seventeenth
of January at [the] seven[th] hour of [the] morning has died
at Veckersviller, fortified [by] the sacraments of
the church, Michel Teutsch, laborer, of this
place and spouse of Christine Untereiner, [an] elderly
woman of this place. I buried him
the next day in [the] cemetery of this place with the
accompanying ceremonies done by me, head
priest of this place, in the presence
of Martin Wallet, shoemaker and town clerk
of this place, and of Marc Wallet,
laborer and resident of this place..."
