"Year eighteen hundred seven, the eighteenth April, third year
of the Empire, before me, Pierre François Piquet, mayor,
officer of the civil state of the commune of Anteuil, department
of Doubs, second arondisment of Branne, canton of
Clerval, have come Jacque Dodiver, age of thirty-eight ye(ars)
and Pierre Etienne Piquet, age of twenty-three years, the two
farmers and domiciled at the said place, have to me declared
that the present day at nine hours of the morning has died
Pierre Joseph Lab, married man, native of this place, age of
forty-eight years, profession of farmer, died in his
domicile at this place, and for the declarers the first is brother-in-law
of the deceased; the second (a) neighbor; that have to me affirmed
the matter of the death
and have signed with me this certificate of death
after it was written and read to them"
