[NOTE: The first two words of the original do not make sense. The writer, rather than writing "Aujourd'hui", "on this day", wrote "aujourd huit," something like "on eight this."

"On this day the twenty-eight Ventôse, seventh year
of the French Republic (18 Mar 1799) at fifth hour of evening in
front of me, Nicolas Piquet, agent of the commune
of Anteuil, department of Doubs, elected to enscribe
the official certificates regarding the births, marriage(s)
and deaths of citizens, appeared in the town
hall Pierre Joseph Lab, age of forty-five
years and Pierre Etienne Dodivers, farmer,
age of forty-six years and Xavier Dodivers..."
