et Bastienne Kindich fille de Charlotte Ratin vefue d hut aadit lieu dautre sans
quil y aye cû accune opposition iay recû deux la promisse de mariage et fait les
ceremonies accoustumeés et celebré le mariage en leglise dudit lieu en presence de
Jacob Smitt et Sebastien Zieger signes aloriginal.

"This day the 4th Nov. 1704 after public display of banns for three Sundays consecutively, between
Fridrich Schirmann widower of Elisabeth Thibault, resident of Veckersviller, the first party,
and Bastienne Kindich, daughter of Charlotte Rat, widow of [not named] of the same place, the other [party], without
finding there to be any opposition, I received of the two the promise to marry and with the
customary ceremonies, celebrated the marriage in the church of the same place in the presence of
Jacob Schmidt and Sebastian Zieger, who signed the original [NOTE: This record is a transcription made about 1713 by the priest who originally officiated the wedding.]"
