Schouch et pour marrinne Anne Marie Kremer touts deux bourgeois
et bourgeoise dudit lieu qui ont declarès ne scavoir escrire.

"This day 12th April 1711 was baptized by the undersigned Anne Marie, born yester-
day, daughter legitimately of Friderich Schirmann and of Bastienne Kindig; the father
and mother are married and live in Veckersviller; also there were, as godfather, Jean
Schouch and for godmother Anne Marie Kremer, the both of them gentleman
and lady of the same place; all swore to it, not knowing how to write."
