qui ont declarès ne scavior escrire

"On the date 7th Nov. 1706 was baptized by the undersigned Etienne, born yester-
day, legitimate son of Friderich Schirmann and of Sebastienne Kindich. The
father and mother are married and live in Veckersviller; also there as godfather was Etienne
Decker and for godmother Marie Nachtvicht, gentleman and lady of the same place.
All of them declared they cannot sign"
