  	"Lindsay Moore, this good man and useful citizen has crossed the Jordan, and is now resting under the shade of the trees. Mr. Moore was born in North Carolina on the 15 of April 1806, and died at his home near this place on 23rd April 1881, in the 76th year of his age. He had been a member of the Baptist Church for over fifty years, and died as he lived, a true Christian and honored gentleman."
