- BEDFORD INQUIRER, Bedford, Pa. - May 26, 1916
Mrs. Amanda Swartzwelder Miller, widow of the late Ephriam B. Miller, died at her home in Milligans Cove, Harrison township, on
Sunday, May 21, 1916, of cancer, aged 75 years and four days. She was a daughter of the late Daniel and Rachel (Morgart)
Swartzwelder and was born in Black Valley on April 17, 1841. One brother, William M. Swartzwelder, and seven children survive: A.
Grant, Otho C., O. Alberta, Simon D., Mrs. R. Viola Wolf, Mrs. L. Veda Hyde and Oscar G. Miller. The funeral service was conducted in
the Milligan's Cove Christian church on Tuesday, May 23 by the Revs. J. W. Hoffman, W. C. Garland and W. H. Mowry. Interment was
made in the church cemetery.
(Married February 15, 1866, Monroe Township by Rev. Abraham Miller, a Christian minister, Rev. Miller is an uncle to the groom.)
