  Notes	Dr. Lothario Donaldson was the son of John Danielson and Ruth Blodgett, and the husband of 1) Mary 'Polly' Rider, died 1812; and 2) Hannah Cheney, m. 1817. Along with his father and five brothers he served in the American Revolution. He enlisted in March, 1781, for three years, serving in the Mass. Line Regiment under Col. Henry Jackson. After the war Lothario was a physician, and practiced in Medfield, Norfolk, MA. He later lived in New York State and then Michigan. In the 1830's Lothario, along with most of his brothers and cousins, changed the family surname from 'Danielson' to 'Donaldson,' believing it to be the original family name back in 1600's Scotland.
