  Notes	Frequently referred to as "Captain" John Heard because of a seagoing man of the same name residing in Kittery, Maine at the time. Note that Elizabeth Hull's father Rev. Joseph Hull died near Kittery, Maine but twenty years after Elizabeth married John Heard. This John Heard resided in Dover, New Hampshire and was a master carpenter. He and Elizabeth are thought to have had twelve children, all born by 1670 in Dover, New Hampshire.
