    • Death certificate alleges she died aged 102 years, 8 months, 28 days (born 1832). However, her youngest child, Newton Miller, would then have been born when she was aged at least 50. Most census sources (except 1930) give her birth in the early 1840s. She gave her own age several times in her Civil War widow's pension applications, consistently at 1836-7.
    • Two different birth dates are given in her application for Civil War widow's pension, 15 Jun 1836 and 15 Jun 1837. The later year best ties to other statements of age in her affidavits in the file. [5]
