  Notes	Calvin Donaldson served in the American Revolution along with his father and five brothers. Calvin crossed the Delaware with General Washington, and participated in the capture of Hessian troops at Trenton. He was the son of John Danielson and Ruth Blodgett, and the husband of Catherine McMaster. He changed his name from 'Danielson' to 'Donaldson' in the 1830's, along with his children, siblings, and cousins, believing that 'Donaldson' was the original family name back in 1600's Scotland. He was listed in the 1840 census as 'Calvin Donaldson,' and also appeared under that name in the authoritative "History of Otsego County, New York," by D. Hamilton Hurd (1878). Not found in Otsego Co., New York probate indices
