This name is predicated upon the supposition that their child Robert Robinson/Robertson was named for his mother's maiden name. It appears in census records as Robertson and as the variant: Robinson. Robert Robinson Hunt is the only child of this couple (so far as we know) to have a middle name.

Rachel married Joseph Hunt Abt 1725. Joseph (son of Richard Hunt and Elinor Linton) was born 17 Sep 1701, York Co., Virginia; died Abt 1750, Halifax Co., Virginia. [Group Sheet]
