1888 - 1973 (85 years)
-
Name |
Melvin G Colburn [1, 2] |
- Some researchers give a middle name "Glenn"
|
Born |
30 Jan 1888 |
Jasper, Walker, Alabama [2, 3, 4, 5, 6] |
- His death certificate and his WW I draft card disagree as to his birth year. Both are primary sources but we use the date from the death certificate, which also agrees with numerous secondary sources and the record of his second marriage. The marriage record for his marriage with Mary J Gann in 1910 gives his age at the time as "17 years," in drastic disagreement with all of the above.
