A veteran of the Civil War, being a member of 138th Penn'a Infantry. While serving under Sheridan at battle of Cedar Creek, Va., he was wounded by a minnie ball passing through the left arm. After spending some time in the hospital he rejoined his regiment at Petersburg before the final surrender of Lee at Appomattox and was honorably discharged.

RAYS HILL - Mr. WM Morgart of Rays Cove died on January 11th (1892) of the la grippe. He had only been sick a few days and his death was unexpected. His interment will be at the Lutheran church of this place.
