    Baptism record gives Margaretha Maria as her given names but all other records show Catharina or Catharina Maria.

    Notes:

    Malgarten baptism records include a record dated 24 Feb 1782 for a Maria Elizabeth Schulte, daughter of Bernard Heinrich Schulte and Catharina Margareta Kuhlman. Obviously it is possible, even likely, that this child belongs to this family and that a couple of mistakes were made in the names.

    Burial record for Catherina Maria Kuhlman indicates she had four sons and seven daughters.

    Name:
    Surname is indistinct in one of the two available records that mention her. Based on these records, the name could be "Basche" or "Batche." However, there are a few records mentioning others with the same surname in Malgarten and they are quite clearly "Batke."

    Notes:

    Searched Malgarten baptisms 1738 - 1767, did not find any other children of this couple. Malgarten records are sparse through the 1740s; this couple's marriage was not found. (6 Nov 2021)

    A girl named Anna Margaretha Culman was baptized in Malgarten on 31 Mar 1754. Parents are not named in the record. It is likely she was a child of this couple. (15 Nov 2021)
