"...due to the fourth and fourth degree of
consanguininty [they must have shared two great-grandparents], after having celebrated the betrothal
the same day with me the undersigned [note, the priest is not, in fact, undersigned], the spouses received
the marriage blessing after having [obtained] their mutual
consent with that of their parents. Lorentz Wallet, son of Martin
Wallet, laborer, of Veckersviller and the late Christine
Teutsch, the first party; and Magdalena Schwartz, daughter of Jacob
Schwartz, farmer, of Veckersviller and the late Anna Mar[ia]
Untereiner. The parties were married in the presence of their parents
who signed their consent and in the presence of Wilhelm
Wallet, laborer and brother of the groom, and of Sebastian Untereiner,
farmer, uncle of the bride, of George Schwartz, laborer,
brother of the bride. The groom is aged twenty-three years and
the bride twenty-five. The witnesses are all of Veckersviller,
they signed; the bride declared she cannot write"
