The witnesses came down here to testify that the wife, Anna Maria Frick, is the mother, and they have signed below, except for the father, who is ignorant of writing so I wrote his name and he made his mark. Baptized in her father's house was Catherine, legitimate daughter of Jacob Laubacher, day laborer, and Anna Maria Frick, who were married and reside in Graufthal. She was born the same day month and year, we rely on the mother for the truth, absent the father. The godfather is Joseph Jacob, day laborer in Graufthal, the god mother is Catherine Wallherr, unmarried schoolmistress, who was born in Graufthal.
