    sieben und zwanzigsten Floreal jahr zwölf der Franken Republick.
    Absterbens Ackt von Johann Georg Laubacher, geweßter burger u. maurer
    zu Eschberg. Verschieden der sechs und zwantzigsten Floreal, morgens um
    sieben uhr, in einen alter von zwie und dreitsig jahren, und drei und zwanzig
    tagen. Geboren zu Kraufthal. Sohn von Jacob Laubacher geweßter burger
    und tagner zu Kraufthal, und Salomea Kor., welche beite gestorben.
    Aus die Deklaration die mir gemacht worden, von Ludwig Laubacher
    burger und maurer wohnhafft zu Eschberg, des verschiedenen bruder.
    Erster zeugen, Johann Georg Burg, drei und sechszig jahr alt, burger und
    schneider wohnhafft zu Eschberg, des verscheidenen oheim. Zweiten
    zeugen, Frantz Zorn, neun und viertzig jahr alt, burger und schultehrer
    wohnhafft zu Eschberg, welcher miht verwand, und haben unterschrieben.
    Bekräfftiget dem gesätz gemäß, von mir Barthel Isten, Maire von
    Eschberg und Kraufthal, Bezircks Zabern, Niederrheinischen Departements,
    die verrichtungen eines Öffentlichen beamten des Civilstandes
    versetend, hier Ends unterschrieben. Reschehn im Gemeinde Hauß
    zu Eschberg, tag, monat und jahr, wie oben.--

    "At Eschbourg and Graufthal, District of Saverne, on the
    twenty-seventh of Floreal, year twelve of the French Republic [20 May 1804].
    Death Certificate of Johann Georg Laubacher, resident and mason
    in Eschbourg. He died the twenty-sixth Floreal, in the morning at
    the seventh hour, in his two and thirtieth year of age, and three and twenty
    days. Born in Graufthal. Son of Jacob Laubacher, resident
    and day laborer of Graufthal, and Salomea Kor, who both are dead.
    Appearing before me to make the declaration was Ludwig Laubacher,
    resident and mason in Eschbourg, the deceased's brother.
    First witness, Johann Georg Burg, three and sixty years old, resident and
    tailor in Eschbourg, uncle of the deceased. Second
    witness, Frantz Zorn, nine and forty years old, resident and schoolteacher
    in Eschbourg, who all gave sworn statements and signed below.
    Recorded in the decade book by me, Barhel Isten, mayor of
    Eschbourg and Graufthal, Saverne District, Bas-Rhin Department,
    this is made an official public act of the civil state,
    by me the undersigned. Done in the town hall
    of Eschbourg on the day, month and year above."
