He married on November 14, 1722 to Abigail Kimball, daughter of Thomas and Deborah (Pemberton) Kimball. She was born in Bradford on April 12, 1702.

They resided in Bradford, MA. On June 15, 1736 he was a joint owner, with James Fogg, of land in Chester, NH. On April 4, 1737, he and his brother Jeremiah, bought land in Rumford (Concord) NH, of their brother, Abraham.

He married on June 21, 1711 to Eunice Chadwick.

His will was made June 30, 1739, proven August 1739. His son James was to have his rights in Penny Cook alias Rumford, NH (now Concord). Son Andrew to have his father's property in Chester, NH. Samuel bought from Moses Day all that land and right in saw-mill that had been set off to "Abigail, formerly Kimball, now my wife out of her father Benjamin's Estate."

3429 Sarah Morse had nine children with Amos Stickney. Six years after his death she married Stephen Acreman. She died in Newbury on 7 December 1711.

In the book, Good Wives, Image and Reality in the Lives of Women in Northern New England 1650-1750 by Laurel Ulrich, Sarah Stickney is mentioned as "the widow Sarah Stickney of Newbury, who had more than one illegitmate child", purportedly one by Samuel Lowell and one by John Atkinson, whom she successfully sued for child support. Court records detail altercations and statements made.
